Welcome to our Fundraiser!
Hello from the United States Under 23 Women's 4-! We will be proudly representing Team USA at the Under 23 World Championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria from July 19th-23rd. (Click "Show More" for more information about us, support, etc.)
We are extremely excited to throw down some great races in Plovdiv and face off against some of the world's best U23 rowers. This boat was selected from a camp of highly competitive US collegiate rowers, each person making the US team stronger and tougher as a whole. We are training hard to get a shot at that podium!
Alie Rusher is a rising senior at Stanford University majoring in Human Biology and currently living in West Bend, Wisconsin. She comes from a whole family of rowers and first raced for St. Paul's School, fueled by revenge after a frustrating loss to both her mother and sister after her first week in a single. She loves sailing, nordic skiing, and playing the flute.
Carlisle Wheeler fell in love with rowing instantly because of the competitive and team-oriented aspects of the sport (and the fact she gets to be on the water). She will be going into her junior year at UCLA as a political science major and is from Cape Cod, Massachusetts. She also enjoys skiing, going to the beach, and unicycling.
Lexi Siverling will be a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she is studying Neurobiology. She grew up in Cadott, Wisconsin and dabbled in cross country, nordic skiing, track, and archery before walking on to Wisconsin's rowing team. Last year, Lexi was the alternate for the U23 Women's team in Rotterdam, NED. She can also play the alto sax, and may play a duet with Alie after the regatta is over.
Tessa Yurko was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. She found her passion for rowing when she began at West Side Rowing Club. After four years of competing for her high school, Nardin Academy, and another four year at the University of Michigan, she is still passionate about rowing as well as ice cream, any spicy food, and napping.
Funding the Power 10 to Plovdiv (a play off Row to Rio?)
Along with striving for success comes the price of elite competition. We are looking for support in covering the costs of coaching, equipment, transportation, lodging, and food. All in all, the amount needed comes to $4,900 per athlete. We are hoping that you can be a vital part of our rowing careers and join the incredible network of coaches, families, friends, and teammates that already support us in our endeavors.
THANK YOU for contributing to Team USA's pursuit of greatness and our own dreams of rowing internationally for America!
